Despite all these changes and updates, this new release of Windows has seen quite a bit of critisism and bad press. Due to that bad press, Microsoft has opted for a marketing campaign called Mojave Experiment in order to try and garner some good press. In my eyes, this is making the situation even worse. Rather than admit you have created something people don't like for one reason or another and try to adapt your software so more people are happy with it. They have chosen to bring to market commercials saying people are stupid and uninformed and when shown the good things the operating system has to offer, they like it. Well being called stupid and uninformed doesn't make me want to give them another chance. Despite this, I did in fact give them another chance. I picked up a copy of Windows Vista Home Premium installed to a new desktop PC I have and set it up in order to share my music, pictures and movies with my Xbox 360. The initial setup is quite easy, so I have to say good job on that. However, due to the DRM and other restrictive licensing built in, I am only able to view some of my movies on the Xbox 360. Very frustrating! So I say down with Microsoft. Please everybody try Ubuntu! I think you will be amazed at the way things just work. No more hunting down drivers and buying licensing. Oh, what a great community they have built.
