The movie Religulous is designed to be a mocumentary of the Christian faith. It is Bill Maher's opinion that has formed from his growing up in a Catholic household. Bill Maher is a stand up comedian that has hosted talk shows in the past. In the movie, he travels around the United States, England, Vatican City and the Netherlands interviewing people about their faith. Asking the typical questions one would expect.

To the films merit, Bill Maher does ask some good poignant questions. Questions that people that do believe and have faith in God should ask themselves. This is why it is only getting one thumb down. Because from this point on, it all falls apart. While he does ask some good questions. He refuses to let people answer them. There was one rabbi that kept talking while Bill was trying to interrupt him. Before the rabbi could finish his answer, however, Bill was so upset that this guy would try to give a legitimate answer to his question, that he told the film crew they were leaving. Bill's other secret weapon to keep people from having intelligent answers was to cut the film in such a manner that the people he interviewed seemed like such backward hillbillies. I can't count the scenes where Bill asks a question with the interviewee sitting in one position, and he answers instantly in a different position. VERY frustrating! Another point on that, was that it could be possible Bill did only interview unintelligent people. He asked some of them the easiest questions in the world and they couldn't come up with anything that resembled a rational thought. All in all, the movie makes some good points, and has some good questions, but the juice surely wasn't worth the squeeze!
